A SHORT DESCRIPTION OF ALBARRACIN AND TERUEL :
Albarracín is a village located in the hills of east-central Spain, on a bend of the Guadalaviar River. The high walls of Albarracín, which date back to the Middle Ages, dominate the adjacent hillside. At its highest point is the 10th-century Torre del Andador. In the old town, the ruins of an Alcazar (a castle of Moorish origin) stand on a cliff. The 16th-century Cathedral of El Salvador includes a bell tower that was built on the remains of a Romanesque church.
Teruel is a city in the autonomous region of Aragon in eastern Spain. Located in a high-altitude mountainous area, it is famous for its classic Mudejar architecture, a style that combines Gothic and Islamic elements. An example of a Mudejar monument would be the cathedral of Santa María de Mediavilla (dating from the 12th century), with its elaborate ceiling paintings. The tower of El Salvador, which dates back to the 14th century, also shares the Mudejar style. This has an intricate façade and stairs leading to the top.
