The timetables are subject to change depending on the number of visitors, weather conditions or the biological condition of our animals. For this reason, we recommend that you ask for information directly at the Information Point in the Access Building on the day of your visit.

It is home to more than 45,000 specimens of some 500 different species: dolphins, beluga whales, walruses, sea lions, seals, penguins, turtles, sharks, rays, sawfish, jellyfish, starfish, sea urchins, crustaceans, among others, spider crabs, as well as reptiles and birds typical of wetlands, such as those that live in the Albufera of Valencia and in the tropical mangroves.

The salt water is pumped from the Malvarrosa beach, having passed all the necessary quality requirements.

Its architecture is the work of the team of Félix Candela and the engineers Alberto Domingo and Carlos Lázaro, the latter being the authors of the structural design of the Oceanografic’s roofs. It is the largest oceanographic park in the European Union with 110,000 square metres and 42 million litres of water.

It is a member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria.1

The Oceanogràfic represents the main marine ecosystems of the planet, with facilities dedicated to the following aquatic environments: Mediterranean, wetlands, temperate and tropical seas, oceans, Antarctic, Arctic, islands and Red Sea, as well as the dolphinarium, with 24 million litres of water and a depth of 10.5 metres. The Submarine Restaurant and the entrance building that welcomes visitors, stand out for the spectacular roofs designed by Félix Candela.
